Our outdoor weekend!

On Friday this week we went boating with Matthew's family. It was the first time I had been on his boat and it was so fun! We don't have any pictures of me in the water, but I promise that I went tubing and knee boarding. It was a blast! Thank you Taylor fam for inviting us to come along!

Matthew and his dad ended up having a fight on their knee boards. They both ended up in the water after Matt jumped off his Kneeboard and grabbed his dad in an epic battle win.

Kelly was so nice to get back in the freezing water to show us how to slalom ski. She was amazing!

Steve was amazing too! So much talent in one family.

On Saturday we went to Provo canyon and made smores with some friends from the ward. Matthew didn't realize that the marshmallow that he was eating was black. He looks mighty happy eating that mallow.

The Moline's are moving this week. *tear* We will miss them!

What a fun weekend! Now the next question is... am I ready for school to start? I guess we'll find out!

Seattle

On our way to Seattle we were able to spend a day with Grandma Collier. It was so much fun to see her. She is always so smiley and positive. We look up to her a lot. We also got to stay there on the way home. She was a wonderful hostess and we can't wait to visit her again. She also let us take home her two awesome bikes. We will post more pictures of those later. We love her! Thanks Grandma!

The day that we go there was Mark's birthday. The day after I helped Jenni set up for a surprise party for him. One of Mark's quests the last month or so has been to find the best root beer. So Jenni decided to throw him a man party with all kinds of root beer.

The next day I helped Sadie get ready for her princess party. She is too adorable.

We got to escape to Paulsbo to do some kayaking and shopping. We found these amazing hats. We almost bought them.... not really.

On the way home we rode a ferry. It was beautiful! and windy.

The next day Matthew and I went to explore downtown Seattle. We had such a fun time!

Uncle Tim was kind enough to take us sailing. It was AMAZING! We had such a wonderful time. Thank you uncle Tim!

The night before we left we made home made frozen hot chocolate. It was DIVINE!

And.... we're back!

Ok.... so I admit I'm a terrible blogger, but I have a new found commitment to blogging. We'll see how long it lasts. A little bit of an update: Matthew and I just celebrated our first anniversary. It has been a wonderful year! We have loved every bit and being married is amazing. I can't wait for the next years of marriage. Matthew planned our anniversary this year and it was WONDERFUL! He is so good at planning and surprising. Here are a few pictures.

First, we went downtown and saw a movie and looked around.

Next he surprised me and pulled into the Grand America. WHOA! We loved the gardens there.

Then we went to dinner at the restaurant there. Well anyone could guess what I got... chicken alfredo! (They didn't have chicken fingers and fries)

A few days later we tried our cake. Actually, I tried our cake. Matthew couldn't have any because of not being able to eat gluten, but I wanted him to pretend with me anyways.

It has been the best year yet. I love being married and living with the most amazing and hilarious boy ever. Life will never be boring.

A shout out to my hubby!

First of all, I would like to apologize for my lack of blogging. In the meantime, I have loved reading all of your blogs. So, here is a shout out for Matthew. I think he deserves a post to say how wonderful he is. And yes, this will probably be a bit cheesy, so if you can't handle it, I won't be offended. We have almost been married for 10 months now (which to some of you isn't much) but I can't tell you how much time has flown by. I have loved every minute of being married and wouldn't have it any other way. If any of you know Matt very well, he is really good at making people laugh. I don't think there has been one day in our marriage where I haven't laughed. Even when I'm being a grump, he has the magical way of making me laugh.

He also is very good at doing the cutsie things too. I often come home to dinner made, or the house cleaned etc. I am constantly thinking how blessed and lucky I am to have him with me all the time! Anyway, I just wanted to give him a shout out and let him know how much I love him!
